At Camp Yawgoog, 25 Scouts from NY, MA, CT, and RI joined forces with the Wood Pawcatuck Watershed Association to tackle the Fly-Fishing Merit Badge. Despite the fish playing hard to get, the Scouts made great strides, mastering casting techniques and environmental stewardship, all thanks to ten dedicated volunteer instructors. We are deeply saddened by the passing of State Senator Frank Lombardo III. A dedicated public servant, Senator Lombardo represented the Town of Johnston in the Rhode Island Senate for 14 years. An Eagle Scout and former Camp Yawgoog staffer, Senator Lombardo was always a strong supporter of Scouting. He embodied the Scout Oath and Law in his personal and professional life. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, many friends and colleagues and join them in honoring his legacy of service to the people of Rhode Island.
